Responsible for the installation and maintenance of natural gas, water and sewer lines in accordance with federal, state and local regulations which includes installing new gas taps, main lines, meters, high pressure regulator setups, marking lines, maintaining rectifiers. We are seeking a Water Filtration Plant Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate and maintain the water filtration plant, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards. Responsibilities include monitoring plant equipment, conducting inspections, maintaining logs, and troubleshooting any malfunctions. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, supplemented by formal and advanced training in water filtration plant operations, along with at least two years of experience. A Class “C” Water Treatment Operator Certification and a valid state driver’s license are required. We offer 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and the starting pay is $18.00 per hour. The purpose of the class is to coordinate and perform the daily operation of assigned water and wastewater collection, distribution and/or treatment systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations, and to perform other technical, administrative and supervisory work as required. Must have a general knowledge of operating biological wastewater treatment plants and wastewater collection and water distribution systems. This position is under the general supervision of and reports directly to the Wastewater Director.
